Paul Ozuzun, MD

Dr. Paul Ozuzun was born and raised in Pasadena, California. From a young age he knew he wanted to go into medicine — driven by a genuine desire to help others. He attended UCLA, majoring in Physiological Sciences, before completing his medical degree at Ross University. He then returned to California for his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he earned both the Best Resident Teacher and Best Resident Teammate awards. Dr. Ozuzun went on to complete his Nephrology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, gaining extensive experience with complex nephrology cases and kidney transplant patients. It was during his fellowship that he met his wife, a Newport Beach native — and after getting married, he joined Southern California Kidney Associates in Orange County. In his first year of practice, Dr. Ozuzun was voted Physician of the Quarter for the critical care department at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach.

Dr. Ozuzun enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, snorkeling, learning to surf, and playing tennis and basketball. He takes great satisfaction in providing quality, personal care to his patients in the community where he now calls home.
